The little birds slip in through a hole in the mall’s glass facade and linger on to provide diners with company and entertainment. The intrepid sparrows are unruffled by cleaners or the slipperiness of the floor. Given the hand-wringing over the decline in sparrows in the city, the sight of the tiny but determined birds skating on the ground in pursuit of bread crumbs is a heart-warming sight.
