China House is bipolar. After midnight on Fridays and Saturdays when folk come to play from all over the city, the venue lets its hair down and parties hard. Many consider it the best club in town during the weekend’s wee hours. However, at all other times, it can be rather boring, with cashed up schmoozers keeping to themselves in private seating. The answer then is to join the smartly dressed crowds when the party gets going late on weekends. But be warned, the club has a perennially long queue – so make friends with the bouncers.
